Abstract

The adult form of ADHD is associated with a higher risk of developing a substance use disorder (SUD). Due to the addictive potential of methylphenidate, treatment with atomoxetine is discussed for patients with SUD and ADHD, and two cases are presented. Future studies, also with regard to dosage, are needed.
