ABSTRACT
Progress has been made in the diagnosis and treatment of inner ear disorders. Autoimmune
inner ear disorders and Ménière's disease (MD), the prototype inner ear disease, are
highlighted in this review of current knowledge and contemporary dietary, medical,
surgical, and vestibular rehabilitation therapy. A number of other peripheral vestibular
disorders are presented and contrasted with MD.
