Computerunterstützes Finishing in der Lingualtechnik

Zusammenfassung

Das Finishing eines Multibandfalles ist eine der größten Herausforderungen in unserem Fachgebiet, und nimmt mit steigenden Ansprüchen der Patienten einen immer breiteren Raum in der Behandlungsführung ein. Häufig wird die Qualität des Finishings sogar als Indikator für die kieferorthopädischen Künste des Behandlers angesehen. Das Finishing eines Lingualfalles ist überdurchschnittlich anspruchsvoll, dieses führt häufig nicht nur zu verlängerten Stuhlzeiten gegen Ende der Behandlung, sondern auch zu insgesamt längeren Behandlungszeiten. Die in diesem Artikel beschriebene Vorgehensweise erlaubt ein qualitativ hochwertiges Finishing ohne klinischen Mehraufwand im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen vestibulären Apparaturen. Es werden 5 wesentliche Faktoren vorgestellt und diskutiert.

Abstract

The finishing of a fixed appliance case is one of the greatest challenges in our specialty and plays an ever-increasing role in treatment considerations as patients become more demanding. The quality of finishing is, in fact, often seen as an indicator of the orthodontist's skills. The finishing of a lingual case is subject to exceptionally exacting requirements. This often leads to longer chair times towards the end of treatment and to longer treatment times on the whole. The procedure described in this article permits high-quality finishing with no greater clinical resource input than conventional vestibular appliances. 5 essential factors are presented and discussed.
