Zusammenfassung
Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, neben den ästhetischen Vorteilen die klinischen und röntgenologischen Möglichkeiten vorzustellen, die sich durch die kieferorthopädische Behandlung mit Lingualbrackets bei Patienten mit Erkrankungen des Zahnhalteapparates ergeben.
Die Autoren halten die Lingualtherapie sowohl aus biomechanischer als auch aus technologischer Hinsicht für sinnvoll.
Die kieferorthopädische Behandlung führt zu einer Wiederherstellung der Kaufunktion. Die bei Parodontalerkrankungen häufig anzutreffenden Knochendefekte verschlechtern sich durch die Behandlung nicht, sondern können klinisch und radiologisch nachweisbar sogar gemildert werden.
Abstract
Aim of the work is to put in evidence the clinical and radiographic advantages, besides the aesthetic ones, of the orthodontic treatments performed with lingual brackets in patients with orthodontic-periodontal disease.
The Authors consider useful the lingual orthodontic treatment of the patients, both from a biomechanical and from a technological point of view.
From a clinical standpoint orthodontic treatment has restored the teeth to normal function. It does not cause a worsening of the infrabony defects, indeed it allows to evidence clinical and radiographic improvements.
