Vorbemerkungen der Redaktion

Von Fachgremien verfasste Therapieempfehlungen sollen in erster Linie der Sicherung der Behandlungsqualität dienen. Als offizielle Äußerung einer medizinischen Gesellschaft sind sie von erheblicher Bedeutung. Sie stecken den Rahmen ab, innerhalb dessen der Therapeut fachlich abgesichert agieren kann. Durch diesen Rahmen sollten Therapiefreiheit und -vielfalt wie auch der therapeutische Fortschritt nur beim Vorliegen guter Gründe eingeschränkt werden. Therapieempfehlungen sollen und können weder Lehr- und Fachbücher noch Artikel in Fachzeitschriften, noch Arbeitsanweisungen ersetzen.

Empfehlungen medizinischer Fachgesellschaften schreiben den aktuellen Stand der medizinischen Erkenntnis, der Technik und der ärztlichen Kunst fest. Deshalb genießen sie vor Gericht großes Ansehen. Entsprechend sorgfältig und gerichtsfest müssen sie formuliert werden. Es empfiehlt sich, möglicherweise prozess- und versicherungsrelevante Formulierungen besonders sorgfältig zu überprüfen.

Der vorliegende Entwurf der „Empfehlungen zur Phototherapie und Photochemotherapie” wurde von ausgewiesenen Experten verfasst und sollte von unserer geschätzten Leserschaft ausgiebig diskutiert werden, um zu einem Konsens aller Photo(chemo)therapie-interessierten Kollegen zu kommen.
