Abstract
From the point of view of developmental psychopathology the case study of a 16-year-old adolescent, who develops a depressive reaction while suffering from difficulties in the development of identity, is described. Aspects of family dynamics as well as the impact of adolescent developmental tasks are discussed and closely described in the context of the development of inpatient therapy.
