Zusammenfassung

Dieser Fall wurde im Juni 1999 vom Prüfungskomitee des European Board of Orthodontics in Strassbourg akzeptiert.

Bei einem männlichen Patienten von 11¹/₂ Jahren, mit vollständig durchgebrochenen bleibenden Zähnen einschließlich der zweiten Molaren, wurde eine transversale, sagittale und vertikale Abweichung allein durch orthopädische Beeinflussung des Oberkiefers behandelt. Damit wurde eine negative dorsale Kondylenbelastung vermieden. Bei Platzverlust für einen oberen linken Eckzahn konnte ebenso auf eine Extraktion verzichtet werden.

This case was accepted by the European Board of Orthodontics in Strassbourg in June 1999.

A male patient, 11¹/₂ years old, with a full erupted permanent dentition, was treated by orthopedic force to the maxilla, in order to avoid a negative dorsal load to the condyles. A severe transversal, vertical and anterior-posterior discrepancy could be corrected, without extraction by a loss of space for the upper left canine.
