Tuberculum sella meningiomas (TS) and diaphragma sella (DS) meningiomas are both grouped together in the suprasellar space. Although relatively similar in location, the difference in dural attachments changes the tumor’s association with the superior hypophyseal artery (SHA) complex. In this video, we demonstrate how DS meningiomas encase the SHA complex. This necessitates a different dissection technique than a TS meningioma, in which the SHA complex is pushed posteriorly.
