Introduction: Genicular nerve cryoablation is an innovative technique used to treat patients with severe symptomatic knee pain due to osteoarthritis. It has the ability to decrease pain, improve functionality, and potentially improve patient outcomes. It is considered to be safe and operationally effective.

Method(s): In this educational poster, we will review the genicular nerve anatomy, and highlight the current applications of genicular nerve ablation, its approaches, and novel developments. We will also present a genicular nerve cryoablation case-based example and illustrate its effectiveness and safety in treating osteoarthritis pain.

Result(s): A case-based example is used to portray the procedure performed by an interventional radiologist. Additionally, highlighting the outcomes and weighing in the challenges. Finally, revealing its advantages to the current model of treatment.

Conclusion(s): Patients that suffer from osteoarthritis can benefit from genicular nerve ablation. A promising minimally invasive procedure that can provide effective treatment with minimal complications.
