Introduction: To discuss the role of interventional radiology in diagnosis and management of bile duct injuries. Bile duct injuries are uncommon complications that occur after biliary tract surgeries such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, gastric or hepatic resection, bilio-enteric anastomosis.

Method(s): A total of 38 patients referred to our department for management of bile duct injuries from August 2019 to September 2022 were included in the study and various percutaneous interventions were done for them. Indications, technique, technical and clinical success of percutaneous interventions in these cases is evaluated.

Result(s): Percutaneous interventions included biloma and abscess drainage (N-6), transhepatic biliary drainage (N-25), dilation of bile duct strictures (N-4), and stent placement to maintain ductal patency (N-3). Technical success was achieved in 97.3% (N-36) and clinical success in 94.6% (N-35).

Conclusion(s): Percutaneous management of bile duct injuries is a safe and effective tool which provides quick alleviation in complex cases which are inaccessible endoscopically or not favorable for surgical repair.
