Sie hat sich als Standardtechnik bei Patienten mit großen Gefäßverschlüssen etabliert. Die vorliegende Übersichtsarbeit erläutert die aktuelle Studienlage, beschreibt das technische Vorgehen bei der mechanischen Thrombektomie und zeigt typische Bildbefunde postinterventioneller Veränderungen.
