Pädiatrische Notfälle sind im Allgemeinen selten, und die durchschnittliche praktische Erfahrung eines Notarztes ist dadurch in diesem Bereich limitiert. Im alpinen Gelände ist er neben rettungsspezifischen Aspekten auch noch mit meteorologisch-topografischen Gegebenheiten konfrontiert. So stellen verletzte Kinder im präklinischen Notarztalltag stets nicht nur medizinisch, sondern auch rettungstechnisch und besonders emotional anspruchsvolle Situationen dar.
Kernaussagen

  • Die für Kinder typischen Notsituationen im Gebirge unterscheiden sich von denen Erwachsener.

  • Beim Erkennen von Verletzungen hilft die Kenntnis charakteristischer Verletzungsmuster, z. B. beim Ski- oder Snowboardfahren.

  • Bei Kindern ist (im Vergleich zu Erwachsenen) die Gefahr größer, den Schweregrad der Verletzung zu unterschätzen.

  • Die Bergetechniken lassen sich rasch an das Alter anpassen.

  • Standarddosierungen nach Kilogramm Körpergewicht (kgKG) gewährleisten eine sichere Verabreichung der Notfallmedikamente.

  • Ein rascher Transport per Hubschrauber oder am Boden zielgerichtet in die nächstgelegene passende Klinik ermöglicht es, den pädiatrischen Patienten zeitnah in die entsprechenden Diagnose- und Therapiestraßen zu verbringen.

  • Mit regelmäßigem Training aller an der Rettungskette Beteiligten lässt sich ein gutes Outcome pädiatrischer Notfälle bei deutlich reduziertem Stress der Helfer erreichen.
