Das Ereignis des sudden unexpected postnatal collapse (SUPC) ist selten, die Folgen können jedoch schwerwiegend sein. Zunächst gesunde Neugeborene stellen dabei ohne erkennbares Zeichen in den ersten postnatalen Tagen ihre Lebensfunktion plötzlich und unerwartet ein. In ihrer Bachelorarbeit gingen die Autorinnen der Frage nach, welche Risikofaktoren für den SUPC in der evidenzbasierten Literatur beschrieben sind und wie Hebammen die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse in der Praxis zur Risikoverminderung einsetzen können.
