Menschen mit IZP leiden an einer komplexen Symptomatik, die sich dauerhaft auf sämtliche Bereiche der Entwicklung auswirkt. Die Osteopathie als Therapiemöglichkeit für dieses Krankheitsbild wurde in dieser Studie betrachtet. Untersucht wird der Einfluss osteopathischer Behandlung im Vergleich zu physiotherapeutischen Interventionen in Bezug auf die Häufigkeit epileptischer Anfälle und die Gabe von Psychopax, ebenso im Hinblick auf die Spastizität, den passiven Range of Movement der Abduktion in beiden Glenohumeralgelenken sowie auf Schmerzen und auf das Wohlbefinden.
