Background As part of the CI treatment, CBCT or rock leg CT scans are currently performed in a standardized preoperative manner. Postoperatively, DVT or CT rock bone imaging also follows in many supplying devices. Also in the BwZK pre- and postoperatively DVT rock leg recordings were carried out.

Course: Since the acquisition of the photon counter, both the preoperative examinations within the scope of the indication and the postoperative position control as part of the CI supply with the photon counter have been carried out.

Results Depending on the setting, the radiation exposure is reduced to half of a head CT. The duration of the examination is reduced. But the image quality is much higher resolution and therefore more precise. Overall, rock leg imaging is currently increasingly carried out with the photon counter in our facility. Whenever it seems medically useful and technically justifiable, both the pree- and the postoperative rock leg representation are presented in the context of the CI supply with the photon counter.

Discussion The numbers are still very low. However, especially in the context of individualized CI adaptation, imaging with the photon counter can bring significant progress and should be examined more closely if possible.
