Zusammenfassung

In Deutschland stellen Übergewicht und Adipositas bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ein bedeutendes Gesundheitsproblem dar. Der Beitrag beschreibt die aktuelle Situation anhand veröffentlichter Ergebnisse aus der Studie zur Gesundheit von Kindern und Jugendlichen (KiGGS) und diskutiert die Entwicklung der letzten Jahre im Kontext anderer nationaler Studien.

Overweight and obesity among children and adolescents in Germany: Results of the nationwide adolescent and youth health survey

In Germany, overweight and obesity among children and adolescents are a significant health problem. This article highlights the current situation based on published results from the German Health Interview and Examination Survey for Children and Adolescents (KiGGS) and discusses the trend of recent years in the context of other national studies.
