Lernziele

Ibuprofen (2-(4-Isobutylphenyl)propionsäure) ([Abb. 1]) gehört zu den nichtsteroidalen Antiphlogistika bzw. Antirheumatika (NSAR) und Säureantiphlogistika. Im englischsprachigen Raum werden sie als NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) bezeichnet. Ibuprofen ist in Deutschland ein „over the counter“-Arzneimittel (OTC-Präparat), das heißt es wird über die Ladentheke verkauft und kann ohne Verschreibung erworben werden. In höherer Dosierung (ab 600 mg pro Tablette) ist es rezeptpflichtig.
