Nicht epileptische Anfälle bei Kindern und Jugendlichen

Zusammenfassung

Nicht epileptische Anfälle sind umso vieldeutiger, je jünger die Kinder sind. Eine Unterscheidung ist jedoch oft durch die klinischen Symptome möglich und wichtig, um eine unnötige antikonvulsive Therapie und Stigmatisierung der Patienten zu vermeiden. Am häufigsten sind im Neugeborenenalter benigne Schlafmyoklonien, im Säuglings- und Kleinkindesalter Selbststimulation, Stereotypien, Schauderattacken, der benigne Myoklonus des Säuglingsalters sowie Bewegungsstörungen durch einen gastroösophagalen Reflux und im Schulalter Parasomnien (Pavor nocturnus), Reflexsynkopen, Affektkrämpfe, Tics, Migräneäquivalente und psychogene Anfälle.
