Management of Migrated Renal Artery Stent
Background: Stent migration is one of the complications after endovascular intervention. Visceral stent migration into the aorta with recurrent of the symptoms requires active management
Materials and Methods: We represent case with renovascular hypertension treated with angioplasty and stenting with complete resolution of hypertension, patient presented 3 months later with hypertension. CTA showed stent migration into the aorta with recurrence of the renal artery stenosis innovative management with retrieval of the stent and reusing balloon and snare to reallocate the migrated stent then restenting done successfully.
Results: Successful stent retrieval and with re allocation into common iliac artery followed by restenting of the renal artery and complete cure of the hyper tension was successfully achieved.
Conclusion: Innovative thinking to deal with unusual complication is required to give best chance with minimum morbidity to our patient in the area of endovascular therapy.
