Endovascular Treatment of Intracranial Arterial Stenosis: A Case Series with Update
Atherosclerotic intracranial arterial stenosis is a recognized cause of stroke worldwide and is associated with a high risk of recurrent stroke. Optimal management options being controversial till date specially in patients who are refractory to aggressive medical management. Furthermore, there is insufficient data on reliable selection criteria for endovascular intervention which add on the challenge of optimally identifying and treating this subgroup of patients. We are presenting our experience in a case series that were unresponsive despite medical treatment, highlighting endovascular techniques and short-term clinical outcome in addition to an overview over recent updates.
