V-128 Reconstruction of the Superior Mediastinum, Sternoplasty and Anterior Tracheopexy for Tracheomalacia in Straight-Back-Syndrome.
Hintergrund
Straight Back Syndrome (SBS) is a skeletal deformity characterized by absence of the physiological dorsal curvature of the upper thoracic spine leading to reduced anteroposterior diameter of the thoracic cavity resulting in reduced space for the mediastinal structures. Tracheomalacia (TM) in SBS results from chronic compression of the trachea and the mainstem bronchi particularly by the brachiocephalic artery and the vertebral column.
