Abstract
The study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of twin therapeutic approaches
on pain and anxiety among patients following cardiac surgery. An evaluative approach
with quasi experimental design was used for the study. 40 samples were selected by
non probability convenience sampling technique. Intervention of Naadichudhi Pranayams
and Instrumental music was given as twin therapeutic approaches for the samples in
the study group. The present study was conducted in Sri Ramachandra Hospital, Chennai,
India. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.
A significant difference was found between pre test and post test in level of pain
and anxiety (P<0.001). The study findings showed that the twin therapeutic approaches
were very effective in reducing the pain and anxiety. There was no association found
