I want to thank Dr. Winocour for serving as guest editor for this issue of Seminars in Plastic Surgery and the outstanding group of authors he has invited to contribute to this issue on the “Advances in Fat Grafting.”
Sebastian J. Winocour, MD, MSc, FACS, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. He serves as the Director of Aesthetic Resident Training for Division of Plastic Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine.
He was born in Charleston, South Carolina and grew up in Montreal, Canada. He received his MD from McGill University, Montreal, Canada and completed his Residency in General Surgery at McGill University, Montreal and Plastic Surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. During residency, he also completed a Master of Science degree. He has also completed a Fellowship in Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas.
Dr. Winocour is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon who specializes in breast cancer reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. He uses the latest techniques in breast reconstruction surgery to help cancer patients achieve their aesthetic goals and restore their emotional well-being. In his aesthetic practice, he prioritizes working with his patients to create safe, natural results and to fulfill their goals in facial and body rejuvenation.
