Upper lip lesion- adenoid cystic carcinoma- case presentation

Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC) of Lip is a very rare and unusual form of cancer. The risk factors and cause are generally unknown. Most tumors are painless and grow very slowly. A diagnosis of ACC is established based on a tumor biopsy. The treatment of choice is a surgical excision with clear margins +/- radiation therapy.

Case presentation:

55 female patient, non smoker seen in the ENT OPD for an upper lip lesion- biopsy was taken and there was an adenoid cystic carcinoma, discussion at the ENT MDT-wide excision 1 cm margin was done and as surgery: Abbé flap procedure in 2 stages was done.
