In this work, we use the publicly available human serum metabolome database to analyze the metabolites that play role in the hemostatis. The database contains curated information of metabolite concentration in normal blood conditions and abnormal conditions (blood of patients with some medical issues) along with gender and age information. In our analysis, we compared normal metabolite concentration with metabolite concentration in the patients with some medical issues (abnormal conditions). The associations of mentioned medical issues or so called abnormal conditions with hemostatis were analyzed using literature mining and statistical data analysis. Finally, the association between abnormal conditions and hemostasis were used to determine the association of metabolite to hemostasis. Case study of some highly associated metabolites, as per our scoring, were carried out to validate the effectiveness of approach. The methodology seems effective to some extent. The multi-omics analysis instead of only literature mining can provide for reliable prediction of biomarkers.
