Dedication

This special issue of Clinics in Colon and Rectal Surgery is dedicated to the spouses, children, and families who provide the authors the support and freedom they need to be successful. Given the current pressures of health care, these articles and research papers are almost always done after hours, nights, and weekends. We are indebted to those who love and support us so that we may advance the science of medicine and surgery, and contribute to the greater knowledge that will ultimately improve outcomes in our field.
