Abstract

Acute lower gastrointestinal (GI) hemorrhage is a potentially life-threatening event, which requires efficient work-up and effective management. Interventional radiology has an indispensable role in treatment of this serious condition. We review the major causes of acute lower GI bleeding in adults, available diagnostic modalities, and endovascular interventions.
