Summary

The action of some metal cations on blood coagulation was studied by means of t.e. graphic tracings. They exerted a delaying effect on coagulation process, as shown by the r increase and ma decrease. It is probably due to the formation of complex and reversible compounds. Adding a strong chelating agent, EDTA, caused perceptible reversal of the cation activity.

* This study was aided by a grant from the Italian National Council for Scientific Research.
