Summary

Red and white corpuscles cause a reduction in maximal amplitude values of thrombelastographic tracings. This is due to an inhibition of clot firmness. In this work the quantitative relation between maximal amplitude reduction and cell volume was proved experimentally. It was also investigated how blood cells cause the observed modifications in t.e.graphic tracings.
