The effectiveness of 4 agents – heparin, aspirin, warfarin, and dipyridamole – in modifying arterial thrombosis was examined with this model. Heparin and aspirin had equivocal beneficial effects. Warfarin had a deleterious effect: the duration of complete occlusion was prolonged. In striking contrast, dipyridamole induced a marked shortening in the duration of complete thrombotic occlusion. On reinjection of the drug, occlusion was almost completely suppressed. PDF (3250 kb) References References 1 Amris C.J, Larsen V, Brøckner J.
