Summary

This report documents the repair and successful healing of a large metatarsophalangeal skin defect in a cat using a reverse saphenous conduit flap. Recommendations for the use of this flap in the cat cannot be made until a complete study has been conducted. Anatomical reports on the vascular supply to the feline pelvic limb suggest that this type of flap should be viable.

A large metatarsophalangeal skin defect was successfully repaired using a reverse saphenous conduit flap. This technique was originally described in dogs and has not been reported in cats.
