Zusammenfassung

Die Sinusbodenelevation ist seit vielen Jahren ein Standardverfahren in der Implantologie. Da es sich um eine vergleichsweise invasive Methode handelt, ist es bedeutsam, die Langzeitergebnisse zu untersuchen. Es war möglich, bei einem Patienten elf Jahre nach erfolgreicher Sinusbodenelevation bei symptomlosem Verlauf eine histologische Untersuchung des eingelagerten Knochenmaterials durchzuführen. Mittels verschiedener Untersuchungsmethoden wurde festgestellt, dass das Augmentationsmaterial nach elf Jahren vom Körper nicht vollständig resorbiert war.

Summary

Sinuselevation has for many years been a standard procedure in implantology. Since it is an invasive operation in comparison to an implantation, it is very important to evaluate the long term results. After a successful sinuslift followed by an 11-year interval without any symptoms it was possible to histologically examine the transplanted bone in one patient. By means of different examination methods it was discovered that after 11 years the augmentation material was not completely resorbed
