Abstract

The liver is one of the most common sites of metastatic disease from several primary malignancies. While most treatment regimens incorporate a combination of chemotherapy and surgical treatments, ablative techniques are increasingly being used for the treatment of recurrent disease. This article will provide an update on the current status of thermal and nonthermal therapies to treat metastatic liver disease.
