Homöopathie bei Lichen planus – meine Erfahrungen
Publication History
Publication Date:

Introduction:
Patients of lichen planus often consult homeopaths to avoid the steroidal treatment prescribed conventionally. In this paper, we will discuss, how we have been successfully treating such cases.
Method:
The study is a retrospective analysis of 19 cases (8 males, 11 females, aged 18 – 65 years) treated using individualized homeopathy. All the cases are manually recorded in the clinic using single sheet, wherein, apart from diagnosis, prescribing remedy-totality is recorded for the treatment, and follow ups. RADAR/Mac repertory is used as a reference tool for final selection. The cases were assessed clinically and photographic record was applied. In cases of doubt, diagnosis was confirmed by skin biopsy.
Results:
The majority of the cases showed positive response but required more than one remedy for complete remission. Potencies used ranged from 6 to 1 M in infrequent doses. Homeopathic remedies: ars., ars-i., nit-ac., nat-m., staph., kali-chl., kali-m., borax and lach. were found effective. The cases were followed up for approximately 5 years, with few recurrences managed well with similar remedies.
Conclusion:
Homeopathic remedies play a definite role in the treatment of lichen planus. Homeopaths can treat such cases with utmost confidence.
