The modern period of development of homeopathy in Russia, in our opinion, again forms the necessity to raise the issue regarding the introduction of homeopathy in the range of specialties.

The main tasks for the use of homeopathy, was defined at a meeting of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Health in 1994 and in the assignment of the Ministry of Health in 1995: “On the use of the homeopathic method in practical public health” which has been successfully implemented. Since 1995, more than 200 dissertations of medical, pharmaceuticals and biological and veterinary sciences in different academic institutions in Russia have been published, which also include the results of the use of homeopathic remedies. Currently, comprising of developed educational programs and training-teaching guides on homeopathy have been successfully carried out in elective courses and workings. A special chair and teaching methods of homeopathy have been inaugurated in leading medical universities.

Despite the fact that in the past time considerable work has been done both by the scientific substantiation as well as the formation of the evidence based effectiveness regarding the practical application of homeopathic remedies, issues still remain concerning organizing and conducting fundamental research, which may be implemented only within the framework of homeopathy as a specialization. In our opinion this is required to determine the initial, actual tasks to achieve this aim, and only then to realize the planned initiatives.

For this purpose, at the present moment of development of the homeopathic method of treatment in Russia, should timely be incorporated into the framework of the developed programs and methodical recommendations in order to implement continuous postgraduate training.
