Plastische Chirurgie – Die Bedeutung der Onkoplastik in der modernen Senologie

Das Mammakarzinom: Herausforderung an Medizin und Gesellschaft

Das Mammakarzinom als häufigste Krebserkrankung ist eine der großen Herausforderungen an Medizin und Gesellschaft. Etwa jede 8. Frau in Deutschland wird mit der Diagnose Brustkrebs in ihrem Leben persönlich konfrontiert. Neben größtem Leid für die betroffenen Frauen sind die sozioökonomischen Auswirkungen, auch vor dem Hintergrund der Bevölkerungsentwicklung, nicht zu unterschätzen.

Die nachfolgenden Ausführungen sollen die Entwicklung, Wertigkeit und die Möglichkeiten der modernen onkoplastischen Operationsverfahren an der Brust verdeutlichen. Darüber hinaus soll die bisher verwirrende Nomenklatur eindeutig klassifiziert werden, um eine transparente Abbildbarkeit und Bewertung der rekonstruktiven onkoplastischen Operationsverfahren zu ermöglichen.

Als Basis dafür soll ebenfalls die Abbildbarkeit in den Vergütungssystemen der Gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung (GKV) und Privaten Krankenversicherung (PKV) dargestellt werden, und somit auch Anpassungen des Operationen- und Prozedurenschlüssels (OPS) im DRG-System (DRG: Diagnosis Related Groups; deutsch: diagnosebezogene Fallgruppen) sowie der Gebührenordnung für Ärzte (GOÄ) erläutert werden.

Durch die erreichte eindeutige Nomenklatur und Klassifizierung mammakarzinomspezifischer Eingriffe können die verantwortlichen Gesundheitspolitiker und Vertreter der Krankenkassen sowie der wissenschaftlichen Fachgesellschaften ihrer Verantwortung für die Qualitätssicherung im Bereich der flächendeckenden onkoplastischen Versorgung gerecht werden.
