Abstract

Veterinary homeopathy was recognised as a specialty in Brazil in 2000, during the 25th Brazilian Congress of Homeopathy. This career has been expanding more and more since then, both in relation to the treatment of dogs and cats, such as cattle, pigs, goats, chickens and even wildlife. If there is a way to really prove the efficacy of homeopathy, it is through the effectiveness of its results in animals, which cannot be influenced to heal but by curative vital energy that returns animals to health and assists in their wellness. There are specialised courses across the country, to train professionals to meet the growing demands of those people who believe in homeopathy as a curative and preventive method and bring their animals for treatment. This short explanation cites the influence of veterinary homeopathy in Brazil since the beginning of the century, and shows the curriculum used in the existing specialisation courses in Brazil.
