Abstract
Polio means paralysis may be cause by polio virus hominis, which is said to be a type of enterovirus, or by trauma sustained by the main motor nerves of the extremities. The result is always in the form of acute or instantaneous flaccid paralysis in both the cases. Despite having been declared polio-free in the early months of 2014, evidence shows that polio is not in fact eradicated from Udham Singh Nagar, or indeed throughout India.
