Twelve aromatic oxybutynyl amine derivatives (1 – 12) were synthesized via Mannich reaction. All synthesized compounds were tested primarily for their anti-leukemic activity against leukemia K562 cells, in a conc. of 10 µg/ml. Compound 9 showed the highest activity of 100% inhibition. Furthermore, compound 9 showed an IC50 value of 0.03 and 0.008 µg/ml against leukemia K562 and HL60 cells respectively, where IC50 value of Taxol against both cells was 0.0023 µg/ml.
