Zusammenfassung
Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit Komplikationen, die im Zusammenhang mit der
Durchführung von gastrointestinalen Endoskopien auftreten können. Sie beschränkt sich
hierbei auf die Darstellung von Komplikationen, die auf gerätetechnischen Ursachen
basieren. Zunächst wird eine neue 4-Punkte-Klassifikation vorgestellt, die sich auf
die oben genannten, primär technikbezogenen Komplikationen erstreckt. Diese Einteilung
ermöglicht eine übersichtliche, exemplarische Darstellung einzelner Komplikationen,
welche im Kontext mit der Durchführung von gastrointestinalen Endoskopien auftreten
können. Im Wesentlichen unterschieden werden soll zwischen „Komplikation durch technischen
Funktionsausfall“, „Komplikationen durch unsachgemäße Handhabung“, „Komplikationen,
die dem Gerät innewohnen“ und „Komplikation(en) aufgrund unvollkommener Konstruktionsmerkmale“.
Ziel der Arbeit ist es, durch eine inhaltliche Auseinandersetzung mit den Ursachen
und Wirkungen von Technikstörungen dazu beizutragen, mögliche Komplikationen im Zusammenhang
mit der Technikanwendung zu vermeiden oder zumindest zahlenmäßig zu verringern.
Abstract
This study focuses on complications that may occur in the context of GI endoscopies.
It is limited to the presentation of complications which are based on (medical-) engineering
related causes. Firstly, a new 4-point classification was created as part of this
study, which refers to the above mentioned complications related to (medical-) engineering.
On the basis of this classification, some of the complications occurring in the context
of the GI endoscopy were exemplarily selected and subsequently presented in a more
detailed description. Distinction was made between “complications due to technical
malfunction”, “complications due to improper handling”, “complications inherent in
the device” and “complications due to imperfect design features”. This study aims
to contribute to the prevention of possible complications due to the use of medical
devices. The intended contribution mainly bases on a substantive discussion of causes
and effects of equipment failures and technical shortcomings in the field of gastrointestinal
endoscopy.
