Zusammenfassung

Die vermehrte Aufnahme von Glutamin in Krebszellen ist eine tumorspezifische Eigenschaft, die neue therapeutische Strategien in der Onkologie ermöglicht. Krebszellen ­reagieren im Gegensatz zu normalen Zellen empfindlich auf den Glutaminentzug. ­Dieser könnte die Erfolgsrate der Chemotherapie bei soliden Tumoren verbessern.
