Zusammenfassung
Der ASCO, der Amerikanische Kongress für klinische Onkologie, findet jährlich im Juni
in Chicago statt und gilt als onkologisch wichtigste und größte Konferenzplattform
der Welt.
Jährlich werden 35 000 bis 40 000 Besucher gezählt. Alle Innovationen, alle Studienergebnisse
werden in erster Linie heutzutage international erst auf dem ASCO vorgestellt, dies
gilt auch für nicht-originäre onkologische Studien, wie flankierende Fachgebiete wie
z. B. Strahlentherapie.
Summary
The ASCO, i. e., the American Congress for Clinical Oncology, takes place annually
in June in Chicago and is considered to be the most important and largest conference
platform worldwide.
Each year between 35 000 and 40 000 visitors are counted. All innovations, all study
results are in the first line presented internationally for the first time at the
ASCO, this is also valid for non-original oncological studies as well as for flanking
specialist areas such as, e.g., radiotherapy.
