Presentation.
It is a pleasure for us to introduce the 2014 Annual Meeting of the Spanish Society of Digestive Endoscopy (SEED) that will be held on November 6th – 8th in Seville.
The number of abstracts/comunications submitted and accepted for presentation was nearly 100. Thirty of them will be presented orally and the remaining ones as a poster. These numbers are really impressive, not only by the numbers but also by the quality of them. You may find all of them published in this issue of the Journal Endoscopy.
Abstracts have been divided, as in previous years, into five categories depending on the subject: 1.) Upper GI endoscopy and bleeding, 2.) Small intestine, capsule, enteroscopy and others (sedation, ...), 3.) Colon, lower GI endoscopy, 4.) ERCP, stenting, NOTES, 5.) Endoscopic ultrasound.
Last, but not least, we would like to thank all members of the Scientific Committee for their effort to blindly review such a number of studies in a timely fashion. The success of the meeting mostly depends on them, and the Board of the SEED would like to express our gratitude to all of you.

Presentación.
Es un placer para nosotros presentar la Jornada Anual de la Sociedad Española de Endoscopia Digestiva (SEED) que se celebrará en Sevilla los días 6 a 8 de Noviembre.
El número de abstracts/comunicaciones enviadas y aceptadas para su presentación se acerca a la centena. Treinta de ellas se presentarán de forma oral y el resto en forma de poster. Estos números son realmente impresionantes, no sólo por el elevado número sino también por la calidad de los mismos. Los abstracts se publican en este número de la revista Endoscopy.
Los abstracts se han divido en 5 categorías según el tema que traten. 1.) Endoscopia digestiva alta y hemorragia, 2.) Intestino delgado, cápsula, enteroscopia, otros (sedación, ...), 3.) Colon, endoscopia digestiva baja, 4.) CPRE, prótesis, NOTES, 5.) Ecoendoscopia.
Por último, aunque no menos importante, nos gustaría agradecer a todos los miembros del Comité Científico su esfuerzo para revisar de forma ciega toda esta cantidad de estudios en un corto espacio de tiempo. El éxito de la Jornada depende en gran medida de ellos y la Junta Directiva de la SEED quería expresar su gratitud hacia ellos.
