Introduction: Lipoma is a neoplasm of benign characteristics composed of mature adipose cells. It is relatively common in the digestive tract, uncommon in the oropharynx, and especially rare in the palatine tonsil.

Resumed Report: A 47-year-old male patient arrived complaining of dysphagia, rheum, cough, and sensation of pharyngeal globus during the last 2 years, and presented during examination a pedicle tumor in the right tonsil. Tumor resection was performed with the tonsillectomy and the histological findings revealed lipoma in the right tonsil.
Conclusion: After the surgery, the symptoms resolved completely. The lipoma should be part of the differential diagnosis of oropharyngeal tumors.
