The aim of our investigation was the retrospective analysis of our patients operated on between 1992 and 2011 with a histologically confirmed CP and the foundation of a data bank for the long-term control of our population. Neurosurgeons and oncologists must continue to modify their treatment protocols along with advances in the treatment of this tumor. Recurrences are usually detected within 5 years after surgery, such as in our series, but all of our late recurrences were patients with subjective (surgeon's opinion) and neuroradiologically confirmed total resected tumors. Therefore, complete data of these patients should be collected in a data bank, especially for a very close-meshed postoperative control.
