Pediatric Aneurysmal Bone Cyst (ABC) in Anterior Skull Base-Endonasal Approach and on Decompression
Objective: Pediatric anterior skull base tumor ABC with compression of ON is not a common lesion. We operated by transnasal endoscopic approach with removal of tumor and ON decompression. Material, Methods, and Results: Case report; a 12-year-old boy with progressive loss right side vision. Fundus showed OA. Radiological pictures showed fibrous dysplasia with ABC compressing the ON. We operate through endonasal approach and decompress the ON. Conclusion: Pediatric ABC compressing the ON is rare in the literature. Open approaches are very difficult to decompress the ON. We did transnasal endoscopic approach for this tumorous lesion with good postoperative visual recovery.
