Zusammenfassung
Die Socket- bzw. Ridgepreservation verhindert nicht Umbau- und oder Resorptionsvorgänge
nach der Extraktion von Zähnen! Neben der Sofortimplantation bietet vor allem die
Füllung von leeren Zahnfächern mit Füllmaterialien (z. B. Knochenersatzmaterialien)
direkt nach der Extraktion eine chirurgisch einfache und wenig kostenintensive Methode,
um den 3-dimensionalen Erhalt der Hart- und Weichgewebsstrukturen zu verbessern. Dadurch
haben verzögerte Implantationen auch eine Aussicht auf bessere ästhetische Ergebnisse,
allenfalls notwendige Augmentationen starten bei vorteilhafteren Ausgangssituationen
und rein prothetische Versorgungen bauen auf einer resorptionsstabileren Basis auf.
Abstract
Socket or ridge preservation procedures cannot avoid resorption processes following
tooth extraction! Besides immediate implant placement, filling of the extraction socket
seems to be a valid procedure to decelerate ongoing resorption processes. The use
of bone substitutes improves the 3-dimensional hard and soft tissue situation in a
very simple and cost-effective way. Following ridge preservation techniques, delayed
implant placement will lead to better esthetics, the initial situation for following
augmentation procedures is promising, and prosthodontics restorations rest on a resorption-stable
underground.
