This in vitro study investigated the influence of artificial aging on the shear bond strength between a composite and zirconia after application of a zirconia primer, compared with pretreatment by grinding, silanization or a combination of these two methods. All specimens were subjected to artificial aging by water storage and thermocycling. Application of the zirconia primer resulted in significantly higher bond strength than mechanical treatment or silanisation.
