Abstract

A 55-year old male developed multiple in part cobblestone-like asymptomatic papules at the tongue, the lips, and buccal mucosa. His Crohn’s disease had been treated with azathioprine and glucocorticoids. The histology revealed an acanthotic squamous cell hyperplasia with classical virus-associated epithelial changes. After the clinical diagnosis and the ineffective trial of therapy with Imiquimod, a CO2-laser treatment was performed successfully.
