Congress résumé in the Sudan vision newspaper, January 9, 2014.

“More science, more practice…” was the theme of the 4th International conference of the Sudanese Society of Gastroenterology recently held in Khartoum. The conference was a resounding success. Approximately 400 participants had the opportunity to benefit from lectures and discussions with both local and international faculty.

The conference was held in collaboration with ESGE, represented by Professor Alessandro Zambelli, ESGE vice president and Dr Maryam al Khatry, ESGE councillor who held lectures and presented video cases during the workshop.

“This was my first visit to Sudan and the conference was a wonderful opportunity to discuss about some aspects of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy in Sudan and in Europe. I had the possibility to discover the high level of clinical competence of doctors I met.

Exchange of knowledge and especially the discussion of clinical cases presented was constructive and will certainly help to strengthen ties with our colleagues in Sudan” reported Alessandro Zambelli.
